Ethical publishing
In line with our commitment to ethical publishing, we are members of a number of organisations dedicated to maintaining standards in areas such as publishing ethics, open access and digital preservation of content. These standards evolve with time and it is important that we continue to develop and improve our policies and practices to better serve the needs of our communities.
We have a set of six principles that guide the way we do things and that direct the decisions we make:
Expertise
We are run by scientists for scientists.
Experience
We believe in ensuring the quality and longevity of biological research.
Supportive
We invest in the development of new thinking and fresh talent.
Upright
We are trusted and respected, known for our openness and honesty.
Giving
We are generous in our support of individuals and organisations.
Forward thinking
We encourage new approaches and support new areas of research and innovation.
